The Xiaoxin Pro 16 comes with quite a few configurations featuring 16:10 screens, Ryzen 5 5600H and Ryzen 7 5800H processors coupled with GTX 1650 dGPUs, an Intel Core i5-11300H coupled to the MX 450 dGPU and a Ryzen 5800H with no dGPU. The Air 15 features 16:9 1080p screens plus Lucienne Zen 2 APUs like the Ryzen 5 5500U and Ryzen 7 5700U with no dGPUs, while the Air 14 Plus models come with 16:10 2240 x 1400 screens plus a Ryzen 5 5600U Cezanne APU and an MX 450 dGPU.
Lenovo’s China-only Xiaoxin brand is releasing three new laptop models powered by AMD’s Ryzen 5000 APUs. Some Xiaoxin devices end up selling on the European and American markets with different model names, so there is a decent chance to see at least one of these new models launching in the West later on.
The largest of the three models is the Xiaoxin Pro 16. It features a 16:10 2560 x 1600 IPS display with 100% sRGB color gamut. Port selection includes a USB-C + USB-A 3.2 connectors, an audio jack, HDMI video output and an SD card reader. Other noteworthy specs include Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, support for DDR4-3200 RAM and a 75 Wh battery. There are several configurations:
- Ryzen 7 5800H / 16 GB RAM / 512 GB NVMe SSD / Vega iGPU / 60 Hz display / 1.89 kg (4.1 lbs) weight / 16.9 mm (0.67 inches) profile — US$850
- Ryzen 5 5600H / 16 GB RAM / 512 GB NVMe SSD / Nvidia GTX 1650 dGPU / 120 Hz display / 1.92 kg (4.2 lbs) weight / 16.9 mm (0.67 inches) profile — US$940
- Ryzen 7 5800H / 16 GB RAM / 512 GB NVMe SSD / Nvidia GTX 1650 dGPU / 120 Hz display / 1.92 kg (4.2 lbs) weight / 16.9 mm (0.67 inches) profile — US$1,000
- Intel Core i5-11300H / 16 GB RAM / 512 GB NVMe SSD / Nvidia MX450 dGPU / 60 Hz display / 1.89 kg (4.1 lbs) weight / 16.9 mm (0.67 inches) profile — US$970
Up next is the Xiaoxin Air 15 model that is only around half an inch smaller than the Pro 16 since it features a 15.6-inch 16:9 IPS display with 1080p resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color gamut. This one has the same profile, but is a bit lighter at 1.71 kg (3.7 lbs) and also gets the more energy-efficient Ryzen 5000U Lucienne processors. Port selection includes: USB-C + 2x USB-A 3.2 connectors, audio jack, HDMI output and an SD card reader. Wi-Fi 6 connectivity is also there and the battery is slightly smaller at 70 Wh. Only two configurations this time:
- Ryzen 5 5500U / 16 GB RAM / 512 GB NVMe SSD / Vega iGPU — US$725
- Ryzen 7 5700U / 16 GB RAM / 512 GB NVMe SSD / Vega iGPU — US$785
The smallest and lightest of the roster is the new Xiaoxin Air Plus 14, which weighs in at 1.41 kg ( 3.1 lbs) with a 15.9 mm (0.63 inches) profile. It packs a 14-inch IPS display with 16:10 aspect ratio, 2240 x 1400 resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB. Port selection is the same from the 15-inch model and there is only one configuration featuring the Ryzen 5 5600U Cezanne APU / 16 GB RAM / 512 GB NVMe SSD / Nvidia MX 450 dGPU / 56.5 Wh battery selling for US$850.
All three models get a US$75 discount for a short period of time.
