Lenovo Reveals New Line of Tech in CES 2021 - TechAcute

In a time of mass isolation where so many people are working from home, the need for quality, dependable technology has never been higher. During this year’s CES event, tech giant Lenovo revealed its newest line of shiny new devices to address the ever-growing need for good tech.

IdeaPad 5G

For the customer who wants cutting-edge technology that really gets the job done, say hello to the Lenovo IdeaPad 5G. The company has expressed that they understand their consumers’ need for a laptop that’s both efficient for the current home setups of most people these days while being affordable. They also see the need for having “a reliable 4G/LTE and 5G cellular connection” more than ever, which is what this laptop provides.

The IdeaPad 5G is a 14″ clamshell laptop, with performance powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx 5G compute platform, delivering high graphics. This laptop also sports a rich, colorful picture that’’s 300 nits bright, the ability to effortlessly unlock with infrared facial recognition, superior sound from Dolby Audio, and Alexa Show integration.

Apart from that, the IdeaPad also provides up to 20 hours of battery life with rapid-charging, along with 5G connectivity. Consumers also have the option to choose its counterpart, the IdeaPad 4G/LTE that showcases nothing less of Lenovo’s craftmanship.

Lenovo has pushed the limits of innovation and versatility with its flexible Yoga AIO 7, built to provide a stylish PC with uncompromising power. This PC has a unique feature that allows it to swivel from horizontal to vertical using a rotatable hinge. It was also designed to make video-calling, streaming, and gaming easy while still providing a sleek, modern centerpiece for any office.

The Yoga AIO 7 has a detachable top-placed 5MP camera coupled with JBL Hartman-certified stereo speakers placed under the rotating display. To expand the idea of creating a PC that’s pleasing to the eyes, the PC supports 99 percent DCI-P3 and 99 percent Adobe RGB. Similar to practicing yoga, this PC provides a flexible and freeing experience.

LAVIE MINI and LAVIE PRO MOBILE

For the consumer who just wants to have a little fun with their computer, Lenovo has announced its joint venture with NEC Personal Computers to build the 8″ LAVIE MINI and the LAVIE PRO MOBILE for “for stylish durability on the go.” To really up the fun-factor on these little powerhouses, there is an attachable optional gaming controller that can be put on the sides of the LAVIE.

The “pocket-sized convertible PC” LAVIE MINI weighs in at only 579 grams, powered by an 11th Gen. Intel Core i7 mobile processor. This also includes many other new Lenovo features, such as infrared face recognition for simple sign-in and the new, signature, minimalist design. this one’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Also available is the slightly bigger LAVIE PRO MOBILE that offers up to 10 hours of battery life, a bright 13.3″ display, and a carbon fiber cover.

IdeaPad 5 Pro and IdeaPad 5i Pro

While the LAVIE is fun and flexible, for those who crave power from their laptop, Lenovo offers the IdeaPad 5 Pro and IdeaPad 5i Pro. These computers are decked to the nines with fancy features such as 14 and 16″ displays, an all-metal chassis, and an IR face camera with Windows Hello.

This doesn’t only let one easily sign-in but also uses “clever time-of-flight (ToF) sensors (that) provide everyday efficiencies via attention-sensing software from Glance by Mirametrix, like pausing your video when you walk away to get more coffee. Your laptop will even call out with an alarm if it’s ever moved when your back is turned.”

Additionally, this product has Dolby Atmos sound to immerse the listener. It is also certified by TÜV Rheinland, an international group that tests for quality and safety, to have blue light reduction technology to protect the eyes. With so many smart integrations, the IdeaPads 5 Pro and 5i Pro offer an expansive selection of top-of-the-line tech.

For the hard-core gamers out there, Lenovo has released several new gaming computers, including the Lenovo Legion 7. It has a widescreen, QHD display, flicker-free eye technology to “reduce eye strain during long battle sessions,” and allows for rapid-charging.

For those who want a light, portable gaming solution, there’s the Lenovo Legion Slim 7. Don’t mistake this laptop’s size for lacking quality, as it’s got a 15.6 in. 4K display, with ray tracing, and Dolby Vision support. According to Lenovo, this is “the thinnest and lightest gaming laptop in Lenovo Legion history.”

Another contender to look out for is, without a doubt, the Lenovo Legion which 5 allows gamers to “do more with less fuss”. With a 165Hz refresh rate, a 15.6″ full HD display, and a minimalist chassis, this laptop offers aesthetic coupled with power. These gaming laptops and their accessories are expected to be available between March and June of 2021.

ThinkBook 13X i

While Lenovo’s gaming machines are crafted for play and recreation, the new ThinkBook 13X i means serious business. Stepping into the big shoes of its predecessor, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i which received a major update at CES, this computer was built for “a new world of flexible workspaces”.

Along with many of the other lovely Lenovo features on other devices, the ThinkBook 13X i computer is “one of the slimmest 13-inch business laptops available,” at only 12.9mm thin. Motorized by low-power 11th Gen Intel Core Processors, this laptop will let users work and create and as long as possible with up to 15 hours of charge. For the professional who wants a laptop quite literally built for business, the 13X i is the way to go.

Lenovo Tab P11

The brand new Lenovo Tab P11 has 15 hours of battery, 6 GB of RAM, and hands-free login, this isn’t just an average tablet. In light of the current situation, Lenovo has made video calls extremely easy with an 8MP front camera, high fidelity quad speakers, and even a feature that blurs the background during a call.

With families in mind, the Tab P11 includes Kids Space from Google, a kids mode “that features apps, books, and videos to help kids under nine years of age learn and have fun.” When paired with the optional Lenovo Precision Pen and the “ultra-thin” keyboard pack, this is a suitable contender in the tablet wars.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga

Another able contender is the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga. Released on January 11th, this device is Lenovo’s “thinnest ThinkPad ever,” at only 11mm thin. This tablet includes a “low blue light feature, integrated fingerprint reader on the power button and new ComputerVision Experiences (CVx) (supported) by human presence detection sensor for enhanced security and ease of use.” The Titanium Yoga also has a Dolby Vision HDR support, a Dolby Atmos Speaker System, Dolby Voice, and a 13.5″ low-power display.

Also available, with similar enhancements, is the ThinkPad X12 Detachable coming in as a 12.3-inch detachable tablet. Also supporting Dolby Vision and “crystal clear” Dolby Audio, this device is not something to be laughed at. The laptop is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and charged by ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 and smart docks powered by Microsoft Azure Sphere. Both of these devices will be available starting between January 2021 and February 2021.

Lenovo L24i-30 and Lenovo L27-30

Lenovo doesn’t just make computers and tablets. To ensure that customers need not “sacrifice chic style for entertainment or productivity,” the Lenovo L24i-30 and Lenovo L27-30 promise to deliver functionality. Both monitors have “anti-glare and eye comfort technology that has been certified by TÜV Rheinland. They also have the ability to support AMD FreeSync which supports “stutter-free gaming,” along with simple customization. For those who just want to give their home office a solid upgrade, these monitors are here.

Lenovo Vantage update

For current and future Lenovo fans, the Vantage app has gotten a new update to further support its users. This now includes an expanded app and browser support, Super Resolution 2.0 video upscaling capabilities, and Lenovo Smart Assist with Windows Hello. This fresh update will also provide users with self-diagnostics that can scan for and fix malware viruses as well as improve performance and security.

Lenovo has pushed the barrier and stepped toward the future with the brand new Lenovo ThinkReality A3 smart glasses. These glasses tether to PCs and select Motorola smartphones to help create “more productivity, privacy, and immersive experiences for industries like finance, architecture and engineering, as well as for any remote and mobile worker where space and privacy are limited”.

Featuring a 1080p resolution, a removable battery, expandable memory, and AR support, these specs are designed for the future of the office. The ThinkReality 3 “fits like sunglasses and can be enhanced with industrial frame options for safer and more durable use.” According to Lenovo’s VP of Strategy and Emerging Business Jon Pershke, the smart glasses “enhances workers’ abilities to do more wherever they are.” These will be available in select markets worldwide starting mid-2021, according to Lenovo.

As the excitement of CES comes to a close, Lenovo hopes that with the power of high-tech, fashionable design and constant ingenuity, the lives of many can be drastically improved. According to Lenovo, “seeing what’s possible with technology that’s stylish, always ready and always adapting to people’s evolving needs to learn, relax and work better from home, inspires us to create smarter experiences for all.”
