School has already started back up for some students and teachers. With the new focus on digital learning, you might be realizing that your laptop isn't as up to date as you'd hoped. The last thing anyone wants to do is drop a huge chunk of money on an unexpected tech need, so that's where cheaper models come in as godsends.

Here are a few deals on cheap laptops we found from brands like Lenovo, HP, ASUS, and Dell.

The HP 340S is a great compact work laptop, and you can customize it to your liking on HP's website. Save up to 50% off the usual price.

You won't get a ton of storage and memory with this ultra-cheap laptop, but the 15.6-inch display is nice and the machine operates under Windows 10 Home. It has HDMI and USB ports and an SD card slot and is capable of meeting all your basic needs — all for less than $300.

While almost $700 isn't necessarily cheap, once you look at the Lenovo ThinkPad X930's original price of $1,729, you can't deny that it's a pretty stellar deal. It's a great intermediate laptop, and should do right by you in all of your daily tasks.

2-in-1 laptops are always a good bet because, well, it's a laptop and a tablet at the same time. Talk about versatility. The Lenovo Flex 15 is a great option, and at only $499 (was $619), it's a steal.

The Vostro 3490 is a reliable work laptop that'll suit remote workers nicely. It's only $529 at Dell, saving you $226.72.

Inspiron laptops are really great computers and this one is a 2-in-1, meaning it doubles as a tablet for even more ways to use it. It has pretty low storage capacity, so this is not the best option if you need to save a bunch of large files. But for basic use, it's a nice choice.

This slim, portable laptop is awesome for taking on the go with you, whether that's between classes on campus or to the park to work outdoors. The laptop has an 11.6-inch touchscreen and a 180-degree hinge that allows it to lie flat.

The IdeaPad is an all-around great computer, with a gorgeous display, a processor that'll certainly get the job done, and a decent amount of storage — save $30 on Amazon.
